How far is Finca Panda from downtown Boquete?

Finca Panda is located in an area of Boquete called Volcancito - about a 10-20 minute drive from the center of downtown Boquete depending on the route you take. Close enough to enjoy all the excellent restaurants and activities Boquete has to offer, but far enough away for total peace, quiet and privacy, immersed in nature. We recommend having a car as many of the attractions in Boquete are spread our around the region, but we can also help guests arrange taxi’s and private shuttles. Taxi’s from Finca Panda to downtown Boquete are $7 each way on average and private drivers are about $20 per hour - so if you’d rather not have a car while staying with us, getting around isn’t difficult. As for rentals, our local airport in David (DAV) has all major rental agencies and in downtown Boquete, we have a rental agency with a wide variety of vehicles called VALUE MOTORS. We can also help organize ground transportation to and from the airport as well as to and from other regions of Panama (Bocas del Toro, Santa Catalina, Panama City, etc.).

Does Finca Panda have a restaurant?

No, we do not have a restaurant. However, breakfast delivered to your casita each morning is included with every stay. Each casita also has a full, private kitchen. Most of our guests either eat at the many excellent restaurants in downtown Boquete, cook their own meals in their casita or have food delivered from restaurants around Boquete. If needed, we have a list of restaurants we love and recommend in Boquete and can help guests make reservations.

Is Finca Panda pet friendly?

We don’t have an official pet policy yet, but we love our furry family members and are open to accepting dogs on a case-by-case basis. If you’d like to bring your dog with you, please email us at info@fincapanda.com or send us a message on our WhatsApp at +507-6878-2855.

Does Finca Panda have any dangerous critters on the property?

We don’t have any dangerous animals/critters on the property.  However, our casitas have been built within the natural setting of our working coffee farm, and may get the occasional spider or scorpion.  In these situations, guest can just sweep them off the patio, but our team is always close by in case guests need help “relocating” any unwelcome critters. Thankfully, we have no dangerous spiders and the scorpions we occasionally see on the farm are similar to a bee sting. We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and harmonious balance with our natural surroundings and the occasional visitor is part of that balance.

Does each casita have a private jacuzzi/hot tub?

Yes! Finca Panda is the only hotel in the region where each casita/accommodation has a private jacuzzi/hot tub. They are all custom made and kept at a steamy 38.9°C/102°F degrees (temperature can be adjusted according to guests preferences). For our guests comfort, we empty, clean, refill and reheat each jacuzzi/hot tub before all new guest arrivals. Boquete is known for its cool climate (nightly lows of 15°C/59°F) - perfect for soaking in a custom jacuzzi/hot tub under the stars :)

What activities do you have on the property and in the area?

In addition to being a small, private hotel, Finca Panda is a working, boutique coffee farm. Our property is about 10 hectares of mature coffee, citrus and avocado trees, lush forest and several kilometers of private roads and walking paths. Our property is only accessed by our hotel guests and staff - providing a safe, beautiful and private environment for our guests to explore. We provide guests a map of the property upon arrival. Our coffee tour is being developed and will also be available on site. Also located on our property is the plant lab of TERRA ELEMENT - where our local plant artist and landscaper, Toly Pinzon, offers a variety of classes for our guests.
